Celebrate Smith Field’s Centennial
Featuring Helicopter Rides from Sweet Aviation
Smith Field is celebrating its 100-year anniversary, and we are doing it BIG! Join us on Friday, September 12 from 5pm-9pm for a FREE community event hosted by the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority! This special event honors Fort Wayne’s rich aviation history while welcoming the community out to celebrate. Come out for an evening filled with family-friendly activities – food trucks, LIVE music, aircraft displays, vendors, a FREE children’s activity area, and hot air balloons!
Don’t miss out as we commemorate a century of aviation in our community!

- $5 parking fee with proceeds going to the National Air Mail Museum

- Hot Air Balloon Tethered Rides – $10 per person

- NO outside coolers (unless medically necessary)
- NO alcohol
- Strollers, wagons, and baby carriers are welcome
- ADA parking is available on-site
