Prerequisites:

  1. At least a Private Pilot Certificate.
  2. Current FAA Medical Certificate

Requirements:

  1. Complete a minimum of 30 hours flight training in a helicopter to include;
    • 20 hours of dual flight including;
      • 3 hours of dual cross-country
      • 3 hours at night
      • 3 hours in preparation for the Practical Flight Test
    • 10 hours of solo flight including;
      • 3 hours of solo cross-country time.
      • 1 solo 100nm cross-country with landings at 3 airports and one 25nm leg.
      • 3 takeoffs and 3 landings at an airport with an operating control tower.
  1. NOT required to pass an FAA Written Knowledge Test.
  2. Pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test.
